WideWriter Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Form
Please follow these instructions PRECISELY. Note: RMA #'s are valid for 30 days ONLY.
- Please complete this form and fax it back to GCC Tech Support at (781) 275-1115. Once
Tech Support receives this completed form, they will contact you with the RMA #. The receipt
of any product which is not properly authorized or over 30 days old will be rejected
resulting in immediate return to the customer at the customer's expense.

- The address label must clearly display the valid RMA number and the return shipping
address.
- Your WideWriter should be packed in its original box and packaging. If the printer
arrives damaged due to improper packaging, the warranty and the flat rate will be void. If
packing materials are damaged, new materials will be provided upon request, for a small
fee.Warning: Using inadequate packing materials will result in shipping damages.

The following items should be removed from your printer. Do not return these items without
prior authorization.
Automatic Sheet Feeders 1 and 2, Paper Discharge Knob, Manual feed guide, Paper, Power
Cord

Do not remove the Ink Cartridge. Otherwise an Ink Bomb will occur. Important:
Shipping the WideWriter without the Ink Cartridge will cause significant damage to your
printer. You will be held financially responsible for any damage which occurs.
Detailed Instructions (see WideWriter User's manual pages 160-161).
- The print head must be placed in the carriage lock position prior to transporting the
WideWriter. Press and hold the On Line button for 3 seconds. The head will then be sent
to the lock position.
- Turn off the WideWriter. Remove all paper and ALL sheet feeders.
- Open the front cover and lock the print head lock.
- Remove all cables, the paper discharge knob, and the manual feed guide.
- Secure the front cover and ink cover with tape. (see diagram on Page 161) Tape the
print head lock in the locked position.
- You will be held responsible for any damage to your product caused by failing to properly
follow these instructions, or other negligence in the return or operation of your printer
including damage caused by your shipping agent. Specifically, if your returned product is a
"Ink bomb" resulting from improper packing or damage during shipment caused by you or your
shipping agent, you will be responsible for all parts and labor involved in repairing the
printer, if the printer is deemed repairable.
- You MUST enclose print samples with the printer if the failure is related to print
quality issues. Failure to enclose print samples will delay the overall repair time. Also,
please enclose a letter detailing the failure.
- These instructions and policies must be acknowledged in writing by signing and returning
this document to GCC before GCC will issue a valid RMA number, which is good for 30
days.
- The return shipping address MUST be on the outside of the box. Also, the RMA # must be
clearly displayed on the outside of the box. The RMA # is valid for 30 days. Any product
returned outside the 30 days will be refused.

Acknowledgment:
I have read and understand the above, and I will pay for any and all damages to the
printer should I fail to remove any of the necessary items, or should I pack my printer or
its components incorrectly.

RMA Packaging Instructions
When shipping a printer to GCC Printers please follow these packaging instructions to insure
your printer will not be damaged during the shipping process:
- Printer must be packaged in original box and foam. If packing materials are damaged, new
materials will be provided upon request, for a small fee.

If you choose to use your own box & foam, please note the following:
- Use a sturdy box.
- The box must be bigger than the printer.
Box must have at least 5 inches of space on all 6 sides.
- Use 5-6 inches of sturdy complete styrofoam on all 6 sides. Do not leave a side
unprotected.
- DO NOT USE PEANUTS or BUBBLE WRAP. Use 5-6 inches of packing styrofoam on ALL 6
sides.

Do NOT remove the Ink Cartridge from a WideWriter 360. Otherwise an Ink Bomb will occur.
You will be held financially responsible for any damage which occurs.

print head lock in the locked position.

- Your complete name and return shipping address must be clearly displayed on the outside
of the box.
- We suggest that you insure your package.
If GCC Printers receives a printer that has not been properly packaged and is damaged,
the warranty and/or flat-rate repair price will be voided and will no longer apply. In many
cases, the damaged printer will be unrepairable. GCC reserves the right to deem a damaged
printer as unrepairable. By signing this document, the customer agrees to these conditions and
assumes responsibility for any packaging that does not meet the standards listed above.
